You’ve worked hard on your book and are under a deadline with the publication date looming near. Is it ready to be presented to the publisher? You can still be making progress on your project while taking a mental break. Pass it along for copyediting. Fresh eyes can catch those errors, and a clear mind can make sure everything flows. I have my Chicago Manual of Style by my side to confirm questions that may arise.

Or perhaps you’ve been told you should have a platform or website for book promotion. You need the text on that website to look good. I can review your site and make suggestions or make them directly, depending on your preference. I want to help you put your best foot forward.

Facilitation Made Easy by Mary Tomlinson – “Julie Holzmann is a phenomenal proofreader — detailed, responsive, and kind — I wouldn’t even consider using anyone else — she will make your work shine!”

You are good at generating words and content. You have a great deal to share with the world (or at least your friends who are curious about what makes you tick).

Yes, lots of blog readers give writers a pass on spelling, grammar, and word choice. We give you the benefit of the doubt and just read past the problems. But we would rather not have to. If your writing is unclear, it takes us longer to read it; at some point, we may decide to pass on reading your posts because we just don’t have that much time. You want to keep your readers, don’t you?

Blog posts can be scheduled to publish when you want. Why not allow a little lead time for a copy editor to give it a once-over review? This would give you a professional polish that others won’t bother with, so you will have an advantage.
